Part 1 Sunday August 14, 2016 23:50 At the moment I am studying ( = watching some videos ) of the above subject matter. I already learned what is both/and. It is not neither/nor. In Metamodernism it is a double bind. " A dilemma in which someone receives contradictory instructions and cannot act on either. " In Metamodernism it is about cognitive dissonance. " Cognitive dissonance exists when a person possesses two cognitions, one of which is contradictory to the other. ( ... ) A conflict or anxiety resulting from inconsistencies between one's beliefs and one's actions or other beliefs. " Are these not where the whole society of humankind is at the moment ? I'll be back after a while to recommend some material to watch. I am thinking it is possibly going to happen within an hour. You better wait holding your breath. So far this has been illuminating. On the other hand, I already knew all of this stuff. [ This is (of course) truely Metamodernism occurring in (my) practice. I am thinking here to start introducing myself as " I am Postmetamodernist, hello ! " - as this process seen on Nicole Salamone's video series seems familiar (to me), but somewhat already yesterday's news (to me). I am already moved forward from that point and don't look back - I don't really give a shit what people say about my acts, but I Love. I don't really believe in anything, but I Love. My Archive Project will be a Huge Success, I know I know. It is extraordinary. It will demonstrate " all this " happening 1996-2016, and now I am moving forward - but at the same time still documenting the whole Process and simultaneous occurrings in surroundings. I am truely amazing, I am aware of this. Rare jewel. Also, it is always nice to watch somebody honestly compiling seemingly irrelevant and separate issues trying to give a definition - (being / which is, both serious and funny effort to formulate a definition, note : as the definion-maker- (-tryer ) is neither mocking me (as a watcher) nor being boring about it, but being sincere, and also getting somewhere as a process) - honestly trying to give a definition to something that escapes definitions - - to something which is yet still a totally understandable phenomenon. And consists of particles seemingly opposite to each other - and what is opposite ? One particle may have multiple opposite particles, depending on the viewer's angle. Thus I think I might in fact be a Postmetamodernist when saying, that all that explained as Metamodernism is already quite understandable and occurring all the time, in fact, in (my) practice, with similar results (=choosing Love). - as well as I think of that process, that it is a totally understandable process. I love this. Well, I am said ( and proven ) to be in general all the time about 10 years ahead of my time, extremely brilliant in remote sensing weak signals, and a natural born true trendsetter in direct connection to something everybody else is so hard trying to tap into with all these different theories and practices so there might be some higher relevance in all what I say & do right now = - n o w - = right now, which once again will be understood (with general amazement) later after it is first studied and comprehended as an actual phenomenon. Pay attention. ] Part 2 Monday August 15, 2016 01:14 Here we go. Part 1 What is metamodernism? video by Robin van den Akker and Timotheus Vermeulen What is metamodernism? At least here I go again. Oh heck yes we both do. I love this. " " Part 4 Friday October 28, 2016 23:00 Just remembered something. Writer J. Federico Martin initiated in May 17, 2016 a discussion in LinkedIn group "Poetry Editors & Poets" with those interested in “Metamodernism” in poetry, and provided us with this link : THE BLOG of Set Abramson : Metamodernism: The Basics Thor's Day November 24, 2016 01:46 A new video from Nicole Salamone of the above topic Published in YouTube 26.10.2016 lol a letter of hope Part 5 Saturday December 03, 2016 01:07 I am reading this now : General Introduction to the Postmodern. Written and designed by Dino Felluga Reading .... here Dino Felluga explains that according to Jean Baudrillard in Simulacra and Simulation : “ Reality itself has begun merely to imitate the model, which now precedes and determines the real world (...) Baudrillard is not merely suggesting that postmodern culture is artificial, because the concept of artificiality still requires some sense of reality against which to recognize the artifice. His point, rather, is that we have lost all ability to make sense of the distinction between nature and artifice. " Sunday December 11, 2016 23:00 I am reading this now : David Berliner in Aeon Dec 7, 2016 : How our contradictions make us human and inspire creativity Reading ... " Building on the poet John Keats, the psychoanalyst Adam Phillips in Promises, Promises (2000) describes three ‘negative capabilities’ indispensable to growing into a mature human: the experience of being a nuisance, of getting lost, and of being powerless. I would add one more to that list: the ability to discover and accept our contradictions, even if, at times, we struggle to renounce them. " Sunday December 17, 2016 01:44 I have a challenge here personally, because for so many years ( 12 years ) my personal artistic goal was to become immaterial totally, in my art making and perhaps otherwise too. Well I turned my sledge gradually a bit more back to abstract painting starting 2011 and I am still flying kind of in a curved trajectory here ... nevertheless, I paint ... I am still aiming personally at immateriality in art, and I am a conceptual art worker. So ... neti neti as the hindus say ... which brings me to thinking that hindus must have been in postmodernist anxiety attacks and turning to metamodernism already thousands of years ago haha well no of course I know what neti neti means Wisdom Library http://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/neti-neti of interest : wtf is metamodernism was originally written & published in A I R B O R N E by © 2016 Tiina Hölli 14.08.2016 23:57 linklist added about an hour later, randomly found passion included 14.08.2016 02:00 edited in the morning before coffee 11:44 14:11, on Tuesday 16.08.2016 14:00, on Wednesday 17.08.2016 21:20, on Friday 28.10.2016 23:00, on Thursday 24.11.2016 01:46 added Postmodern ... for clarity hahaha on Saturday 03.12.2016 01:05 added contradictions ... obviously on Sunday 11.12.2016 23:00 & 17.12.2016 01:44 wtf is metamodernism, part -2- [ hion, hion, hion ] |
